You can help beat the breast cancer odds through early detection and treatment.
- Mammography – screening, diagnosis, implants, needle localization
- Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program – free screenings are made possible through this program, which is administered by the Hawaii State Department of Health
- Stereotactic core biopsy – non-surgical breast biopsy
- Ultrasound guided core biopsies, cyst aspirations, imaging
Osteoporosis can be a debilitating condition that robs you of your independence. The Kapi'olani Women's Center offers a comprehensive program to help detect, prevent and manage osteoporosis.
- DEXA (hip and spine) scanning – high risk patients, therapy monitoring and follow up
- Consultation with physicians specializing in bone health
- Osteo-cise and structural strength classes – specifically designed for women at risk and women diagnosed with osteoporosis. They focus on muscles that support the spine and hip, as well as balance and posture
- Osteoporosis information session –free.
