Michael E. Carney, M.D.
GYN OncologistDr. Carney has extensive experience treating women for ovarian, cervical and gynecological cancers. Before he joined the Women's Cancer Center and the John A. Burns School of Medicine, he worked at the prestigious Huntsman Cancer Institute. He completed both his obstetrics and gynecology residency and fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the Duke University Medical Center. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and gyn oncology. Dr. Carney is committed to cancer care and research. He has developed clinical trials and is currently studying the molecular genetics of gynecological cancer to better understand and treat the disease.

Jonathan K. Cho, M.D.
Medical OncologistDr. Cho is presently in private practice in Honolulu and is an assistant clinical professor with the John A. Burns School of Medicine. He completed his fellowship training at the City of Hope National Medical Center in California and the University of California, Irvine. He is a graduate of the John A. Burns School of Medicine and he completed his residency at University of California, Irvine. He is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology. Dr. Cho has been active in the promotion of clinical trials as a member of the Southwest Oncology Group and the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast Project. He envisions that the Women's Cancer Center at Kapi'olani will not only provide comprehensive cancer care, but also provide women access to newer cancer treatments.

Lori E. Kamemoto, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.O.G.
Cervical & Vulvar Disease SpecialistDr. Kamemoto is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is an assistant professor with the John A. Burns School of Medicine's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed her medical training and obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Hawaii. Dr. Kamemoto looks forward to assisting patients with dysplasia/pre-cancer of the cervix, vagina and vulvar, as well as vulvar pain, vaginitis and lower genital problems upon referral from their physicians.

Bart Pillen, Ph.D.
Clinical PsychologistDr. Pillen received his masters and doctorate from DePaul University, IL. He specializes in women's health issues and sees patients at the Breast Center and Women's Cancer Center.

Genetic CounselorMichele Murray, M.S. is a certified genetic counselor. Michele meets confidentially with women who have concerns about the change that they or their children may develop breast or gynecological cancer. Michele received her masters degree from Brandeis University, MA.

Suzanne Ditter, R.N., B.S.N., O.C.N.
Nurse CoordinatorSuzanne Nemiroff is the gynecology/oncology nurse coordinator. She has extensive oncology experience and is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society at both state and national levels. She facilitates a monthly support group for GYN and breast cancer patients.
